ShyStella Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms are intended to define the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between ShyStella (the "Company") and users in relation to the use of ShyStella accounts, virtual goods (HSKZ), and all related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "ShyStella Account" means the integrated login (ID) system provided by the Company.
  2. "Service" means all functions provided on this platform, including account authentication, login, and virtual goods management.
  3. "HSKZ (Hoshikuzu)" means virtual goods that may be obtained and used within the Service, whether for payment or free of charge.
  4. "User" means a member who has entered into a service agreement with the Company in accordance with these Terms and uses the Service.

Article 3 (Effectiveness and Language of the Terms)

  1. These Terms become effective when posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to users.
  2. These Terms are written in Korean, and English and Japanese translations may be provided for user convenience. If any discrepancy in interpretation arises between a translation and the Korean original, the Korean original shall prevail under the laws of the Republic of Korea. (However, this does not apply where mandatory laws of the user's country of residence require local-language terms.)
  3. The Company may revise these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws, and material changes will be announced at least 30 days before the effective date and notified by email or other means.

Article 4 (Account Creation and Accuracy of Information)

  1. Users enter into a service agreement by providing required information such as email address, password, and country of residence, and by agreeing to these Terms in accordance with procedures set by the Company.
  2. Users must accurately select their actual country of residence when registering. The Company is not responsible for any service restrictions, tax issues, or legal disadvantages arising from false country selection or failure to update country information.
  3. Users under the age of 14 (or the age defined as a child under the laws of the user's country of residence) may use the Service only with consent from a legal representative.

Article 5 (Use and Refund of Virtual Goods HSKZ)

  1. HSKZ may be obtained through paid purchases (top-ups) provided by the Company or through free grants.
  2. Regardless of whether HSKZ is paid or free, balances are deducted in order of earliest expiration date; where expiration dates are the same, free HSKZ is deducted first.
  3. Users may request a refund for unused balances of paid HSKZ. In such case, the Company will refund the remaining amount after deducting the greater of a 10% refund fee or KRW 1,000.
  4. The following are excluded from refunds:
    1. HSKZ granted for free by the Company through events, etc.
    2. HSKZ already used and extinguished
    3. HSKZ transferred from or gifted by a third party
  5. Under the commercial extinctive prescription under Korean Commercial Law, paid HSKZ automatically expires after 5 years from the last date of use. Free HSKZ follows the validity period separately determined by the Company.

Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in any of the following:

  1. Registering false information when signing up or changing account details (especially false country of residence)
  2. Misappropriating another person's account or payment method
  3. Abnormal use of the Service by exploiting automated programs (macros), bugs, etc.
  4. Trading HSKZ with third parties for consideration or cashing out HSKZ

Article 7 (Restriction of Service Use)
If a user violates obligations under Article 6 or interferes with normal operation of the Service, the Company may impose graduated restrictions, including warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent suspension.

Article 8 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Company is exempt from liability where it cannot provide the Service due to force majeure such as natural disasters, national emergencies, or technical defects difficult to resolve.
  2. The Company is not liable for service disruptions or damages caused by reasons attributable to the user (e.g., poor password management, provision of false information).
  3. The Company is not liable for use of free services unless otherwise required by applicable law. However, damages caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence are excluded from this limitation.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. Interpretation and application of these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. For disputes between the Company and users, the Seoul Central District Court of the Republic of Korea shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
  3. Notwithstanding Paragraphs 1 and 2, where a user is a consumer residing outside the Republic of Korea, rights and jurisdiction guaranteed by mandatory laws of that country (including consumer protection laws) are not excluded by these Terms.

Supplementary Provision
These Terms take effect on [February 12, 2026].
